PSF to MPH Conversion Chart

The following table may be used to convert positive and negative pressure to comparable basic wind speeds. Please be advised wind speed is normally measured at ground level and wind speeds will almost always be greater at roof height.

The following formulas apply to this table:

If you know PSF and want to know MPH, calculate the square root of (PSF/.00256).

If you know MPH and want to know PSF, square MPH and multiply by .00256.
